YungBlud, the one to watch

Bijgewerkt op: 5 sep. 2019

Dominic Harrison, a 21 years old musician from Doncaster. You probably know him under the name YungBlud. He had a major breakthrough in 2018 and it doesn't seem it's going to stop in 2019, he's concurring the world. He will definitely be the one to watch in 2019 in different music styles such as Alternative Rock. By now he has launched an amazing album and he is currently working on a second one. So be prepared for some amazing, mind-blowing music.

His music

His music really talks to you and makes you feel that you are not alone. He sings about all taboos you van think about. He opens up about deep dark emotions he had, those emotions scared him. Just like many of us he didn't know what to do with them. Now he shares his stories throughout his songs. It is really inspiring me and many others to open up about dark thoughts and feelings, emotions and the things you're going through. The thing that made him start coming up for those things seems to be Brexit. Which I found very surprising, now I can see why.

The concert

The first time seeing him play his music live, December 22, 2018.

This concert was at a charity event called 'De Warmste Week' or in English 'The Hottest Week' organised by StuBru, a Belgian radio station. He gave a live soundcheck where he really connected with his fans by smiling towards one person, blowing kisses and so on (giggling inside like a little girl). The concert on itself was really short, which makes sense since it was a charity event. He played 4 songs: I Love You, Will You Mary Me; Polygraph Eyes; California and Medication. He played all 4 of them acoustic with Adam Warrington, his guitarist. Michael, his drummer, was in the USA so he couldn't play at the event. But even without Michael it was amazing hearing all the songs acoustic and live!!!

As he quoted himself

“I love you guys, I love Belgium, you are mental!!”
