Candy Cane Brownie Pie

Bijgewerkt op: 13 feb. 2020

Candy canes, chocolate, cake, what more to wish for a Christmas dessert.

Ingredients:

  • 115 grams unsalted butter

  • 170 grams granulated sugar

  • 1.5 medium eggs or 1 large egg

  • 160 grams semisweet chocolate, melted

  • 95 grams patisserie flour

  • 50 grams unsweetened cocoa (powder)

  • 4 grams salt

  • 1.3 grams baking powder

  • 130 grams white chocolate (chips) + 10 grams for decoration

  • 8 regular sized crushed candy canes (leave some for decorating)

Preparation method:

First mix the sugar and butter until it looks more smooth.

Whilst mixing, melt the chocolate.

Add the egg(s) and mix again, then add the melted chocolate and mix until it looks like a smooth brown mixture.

After that, add the salt, cocoa powder and flour and mix for about 3 minutes until everything is mixed together.

Crunch the candy canes and break the white chocolate into little pieces, if you don't use white chocolate chips like I did.

Mix the crunched candy canes and little pieces of white chocolate into the mixture.

Put some parchment paper in the baking tin and put the cake/ brownie mix in there.

Preheat the oven at 180° Celsius.

Leave the cake in there for about 40 minutes.

Let it cool down, decorate, serve and enjoy!
