This one is perfect for a Christmas snack on Christmas eve or so. It is easy and quick to make, and it is a quick bite that fills up as well. What more could you want, right?
Ingredients:
About 2 cans of mini sausages
A roll of puff pastry
Sesame seeds
Egg yolk
Ketchup (to dip in)
Preparation method:
First of all, roll open the puff pastry and cut triangles from it.
Take a sausage and roll it in the puff pastry triangle.
Circle them around the round of ketchup pot to give them the circle shape you want to have at the end.
We replaced the ketchup pot (since that couldn't go into the oven) with a cheese roll before putting it in the oven. That way the cheese would melt and we were able to use it as a dip as well.
Take the egg yolk and smear/ rub it over the dough until it looks a little more yellow (see picture). Sprinkle some sesame seeds over the pigs in a blanket.
Preheat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius. Once the oven is warm, put the wreath in there for about 15 minutes.
Serve on a plate and enjoy!
